Our PE team for the 2018/2019 Academic Year

Firstly, welcome back to all parents/carers and children, it’s been wonderful working with/seeing you all at our various School Sports Partnership schools.

 

It has been a busy start to the academic year with our team of coaches delivering PE in the following schools: Sandy Lane, Fox Hill, St Michael’s Easthampstead, Winkfield St Mary’s, Hatch Ride and Great Hollands.

 

If you are a parent/carer of any of the above schools, it is important you are aware of who is coaching your children in their PE lessons. See below which EPC coach is in your school!

 

ROB MCBRIDE

Rob will continue at St Michael’s Easthampstead this academic year, working at the school he has been primarily based at since January 2017. Rob will be delivering PE to the children on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons. You may also see Rob at a variety of different after-school clubs across the borough.

FAVOURITE SESSION TO TEACH = Tennis

 

DAN SLEET

Dan enters his 2nd academic year at Fox Hill as the lead PE coach and co-coordinator. Dan made an excellent impression last school year and will be looking to build on the positive steps forward the PE department made last academic year. Dan will be working at Fox Hill on Wednesday’s and Thursday’s. He will also be delivering soccer-skills after-school across the borough.

FAVOURITE SESSION TO TEACH = Football

 

LEE SIMPSON

Lee will once again be based at Sandy Lane as the lead coach and co-coordinator. He will be working at Sandy Lane every Monday and Tuesday delivering PE and after-school clubs to the children. Lee will also be coaching every Thursday afternoon at Hatch Ride Primary School and is taking a lead on the school football team after school!

FAVOURITE SESSION TO TEACH = Tag Rugby

 

AARON SHEIKH

Aaron will continue working with Rob at St Michael’s Easthampstead, delivering PE every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoon to the children across the school. Aaron will also coach at Hatch Ride on Thursday mornings. You will also see Aaron at our various after-school clubs located in Bracknell Forest.

FAVOURITE SESSION TO TEACH = Cricket

 

ED JACKSON-SANKEY

Firstly, a huge welcome to one of our new recruits over the summer! Ed joins us with a wealth of experience, having previously coordinated the PE department at Brakenhale, as well as assisting with the organisation of various Bracknell Forest Sporting Events. Ed will be delivering PE at Fox Hill and Sandy Lane this academic year, and also assisting Lee and Dan with the coordination. Ed will be at Fox Hill every Monday and Tuesday, and at Sandy Lane for the remainder of the week.

FAVOURITE SESSION TO TEACH = Athletics

 

MATT NOWER

Matt will be based at Great Hollands this academic year every day of the week, so parents/children of Great Hollands, you will get to know Matt well! Matt will be delivering PE across the school as well as leading on our new lunch-club programme at the school. He will also assist Mr Roberts with the coordination of PE across the school.

FAVOURTIE SESSION TO TEACH = Hockey

 

CHARLIE CRASKE

Another warm welcome… Charlie has joined the EPC team following a year coaching in New Zealand (alright for some!) and will working as a cover sports coach across all of our School Sports Partnership schools. Charlie will also be working across the borough at our various after schools clubs. He will work 3 days per week at Winkfield St Mary’s, as the second coach at our ‘LET ME PLAY’ care club.

FAVOURITE SESSION TO TEACH = Football

 

JACK WELLS

Jack has joined the team officially as an apprentice sports coach, following an excellent first year with us as an after-school club assistant/worker. Jack volunteered countless hours working with the team and gain valuable experience and has been (rightly) rewarded for his work and commitment. Jack will initially work as a cover coach and start to lead after-school clubs 3 days a week. The other two days, he will be the second coach at ‘LET ME PLAY’.

JOE GATER

Joe will continue to work for EPC this year as a part-time coach, delivering PE twice a week at Winkfield St Mary’s every Thursday and Friday. Joe will also be delivering after-school clubs across Bracknell Forest throughout the week!

FAVOURITE SESSION TO TEACH = Gym/Fitness

 

ABBI LEWIN

Abbi is in charge of our Performing Arts department and will continue to lead the project forward across the borough. Abbi also works for EPC as a part-time cover coach as well as preparing children for upcoming Gymnastics/Dance events. If your children are a fan of the arts, you will definitely get to know Abbi!

OLLIE KAYA

Our final warm welcome goes to Mr Ollie Kaya, who joins us a part-time coach and the new lead coach for our daily care-club at Winkfield St Mary’s ‘LET ME PLAY’. Like Jack, Ollie has worked very hard last year as an after-school club helper and volunteer, gaining that valuable experience. Parent’s of Winkfield St Mary’s, you will get to know Ollie very well!

Our team are passionate and dedicated in providing your children with a fun and engaging learning environment and we are all tremendously excited for the academic year ahead!
